Missouri is one of the most beautiful states whether you visit in the winter or summer. Wherever you go you see beautiful mountainous landscapes and the winter snow only makes them more beautiful. In February you will find a variety of activities both indoors and out.

In St. Louis you can escape the cold and head for a cold one. The Budweiser Brewery features free hourly tours that take you back into the heritage of the Anheuser-Busch Corporation and their products. You also have the opportunity to see the Budweiser Clydesdales close up and personal. Following the tours you get the chance taste complementary samples of Anheuser-Busch products and seasonal brews. Be sure to bring a coat, as you will do some outside walking and some rooms are refrigerated.

The Miniature Museum of Greater St. Louis was opened in 1989. The group displays miniature works and collections for people to enjoy. The museum has over 200 members that contribute to the museum’s displays. They feature custom built dollhouses that are completely furnished with miniature furnishings and decorations. They also have a replica of the St. Louis IX Basilica. The actual church is located in downtown St. Louis. The replica took 3,800 hours to complete. There are a variety of collections that you must see when you visit.

Every February the Onondaga Cave State Park hosts Earthquake Awareness Week in Leasburg. The even features a video about the New Madrid Seismic zone as well as information on how earthquakes affect the land and human populations. You also have the opportunity to see the park’s seismic station, which is one of seven in the central United States.

The Sweethearts Dinner at Thornhill is an annual event that takes place at the 1800s home of Frederick Bates. Bates was the second governor of Missouri. The night is a candlelight event and a full meal served by staff in period clothing. Located at Faust County Park.

The Soulard Mardi Gras Beggin Strips Barkus Pet Parade his held annually in St. Louis. Pet lovers and their pals travel to the annual celebration of pets. The event begins at Clementine’s and runs through Soulard and ends at Soulard Market Park.

In Branson, you can find the annual Hot Winter Fun Big Show. Here you will find multiple presentations at the Jim Stafford Theatre, the Grand Jubilee, Dough Gabriel, Baldknobbers, Legends in Concert, Road to Rock, Circle B Chuckwagon, Comedy Jamboree and the Hughes Brothers.
