Martinsville Speedway
Martinsville Speedway was one of the first NASCAR tracks in the US,
opening in 1947 with a capacity of only 750. Today the track holds over
70,000 race fans and is continually improving the facilities. The track
itself is one of the smallest in NASCAR at just over a half mile, but
its considered one of the biggest in action with two 800-foot straights
and only a 12-degree bank it is said to feel like running on two drag
strips with a turn-a-round on each end. The layout of the short track
provides drivers plenty of opportunities to push and shove one another
giving spectators with plenty of excitement.

Our ¼ mile indoor track is a road course that twists and turns throughout our facility, allowing drivers to use their skills to out maneuver their competitors. The track is concrete and is specially prepared, so the grip of the karts are excellent. To compliment the racing environment, we used NASCAR tires to outline the track that were used at the Coca Cola 600, Richmond, and the California Winston Cup and Busch Series racing events. Our state-of-the-art facility features a computerized timing system that tracks each karts lap times. Sessions can include up to 12 races and last 8 minutes. Each racer receives a printout of their race performance: number of laps, lap times, average lap time, heat ranking, and over all ranking of the day.
We can accommodate private parties, social groups and corporate events. Call for group packages.
