South FL Water Parks

Check out some great water parks in south Florida to take your family. From Miami to West Palm Beach, some of the best water parks in the world are located in the southern Florida area. If your on vacation or even live here, check out some places to cool down with your family at one of these choice parks.
  • Rapids Water Park- 561-842-8756 - 6566 N. Miltary trail - Riviera Beach, FL 33407
    Open since 1979, Rapids water park is home to over 25 water slides, ranging from the thrilling Big Thunder all the way to the lazy mans river. If your looking for a great day on the water slides with your family, you can find great fun from March to October at this waterpark. Test your wits on the pirates plunge, or slosh through the tubin tornadoes with over 1000 ft. of sheer terror. They also have a wading pool for toddlers and children of small ages.

  • Sun N Fun Water Park- 239-252-4021 - 15000 Livingston rd. Naples, FL 34109
    Owned by the County of Collier, Sun N Fun has 4 pools, a number of fun slides, as well as a lap pool and water guns. AS of 2009, their hours in the summer are 10 am to 5 pm 7 days a week, in the fall from august 31 to october 31 on saturdays and sundays from 10 am to 5 pm, closed from november to January. Try out a variety of different slides and rides at this great water park in south florida.

  • Grapeland Water Park- 305-960-2950 - 1550 nw 36th ave - Miami, FL 33126
    Maintained by the city of Miami, Grapeland is a great place to take your kids for a day of family fun. They have 4 cool water slides, a lazy mans river, as well as a large recreation pool. Park hours are from 10 am to 6 pm, saturdays and sundays, with admission prices varying between $5 and $10.
  • Tropical Splash Water playground- 954-321-1170 ext. 18335 - Central Broward Regional Park
    If your looking for a great day of fun on the water slides, look no further that Tropical Splash water playground in central Broward Regional Park. They have two huge water playgrounds designed for kids of all ages, they also have boat rentals and swim lessons. After a long day on the water, grab a bite to eat at Toby's, where they serve cheeseburgers, pizza, pretzels, and lots of other snacks. The park is open from July through October, visit there website for hours of operation and rates as they are subject to change.
  • Sun Splash Family Water Park- 239-574-0558 - 400 Santa Barbara blvd - Cape Coral, FL
    When you think of fun water parks in south florida, think Sun Splash in Cape Coral. They have over 10 great slides to choose from, or you can just relax in one of their many pools. Test your wits on the Terror Tube, which is a gradual slope then a nearly vertical exhilirating drop. The park is open from August to late October, so get there while you can.
    Disney Water Parks in Orlando
    Theres's plenty of things to do in Disney, but one thing is for sure, you need to get your family to a water park in orlando. With two different parks to choose from, you'll never run out of fun and its the perfect way to cool off from a hot day in Florida!     • Wet N' Wild- 1-800-992-WILD - 6200 international dr. - Orland, FL 32819

      One of the biggest Disney Water parks is Wet N' Wild, located just near Universal Studios and Sea World of of Interstate 4. From easy rides for the kids, to thrilling adventures for "kids" of all ages, this park has it all. Try the 250 ft. drop Der Stuka, which is nearly 6 stories high and culminates with a dramatic drop at the end. Or Try the mach 5, with its over 1600 ft. of vertical fun where you can race your friends down the slides. For families with their small children, you can try the Kids park with smaller versions of their bigger rides, and a gigantic bucket that fills with water and splashes down on everyone in the pool. With over 20 different attractions to choose from, its a great break from some of the main parks in Orlando. Open from September to December, be sure to call ahead as hours and schedules are subject to change.

    • Aquatica Water Park- 888-800-5447 - 5800 water play way - Orlando, FL 32821

      Aquatica Water Park, which is located right across the way from Sea World at Disney, hosts a number of different water slides to choose from, as well as dining and cabana rentals. You are permitted to bring your own food, subject to their restrictions. While your there, check out the big surf shores, two wave pools which makes waves up to 4 feet high or mild waves, depending on your taste. After a long day on the water, choose from 3 different restaurants, everything from a quick bite to eat, to all you can eat dinners. You can purchase your tickets online at a discount.

  • Adventure Landing Water Park- 904-246-4386 - 1944 Beach Blvd. Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250

    Open from March to September, Adventure Landing is one of the premier water parks in Jacksonville Florida. A great place for birthday parting, group and company outings, and school activities, they offer a wide variety of fun things to do on the water. They have a really cool wave pool which shoots out waves as high as 4 feet. You can purchase tickets and season passes online or sign up for their adventure club and receive special discount offers. A great place for school outings and fund raisers as well.
  • Adventure Island- 888-800-5447 - Tampa, FL

    Adventure Island has a number of different rides and attractions and is the premier water park in Tampa Florida. Try the calypso coaster where you can rcae your friends or have them come along for the ride. Or test your wits on the Gulf Stream a 210 ft. slide that leads straight to a heated pool. If your not looking for anything too exciting you can try the Paradise Lagoon, complete with a pool, swings, small slides and great fun for small kids. Open til October, so hurry up and get there!
  • Sam's Surf City Water Park- 850-505-0800 - 6709 Pensacola blvd. Pensacola, FL 32505

    The only water park in Pensacola Florida, Sams Fun City boasts 4 large water slides, the zoom flume, summit tunnel, south sea castaway, and loose cannon. They also have a kids pool, lazy mans river, and a young adults pool which features a variety of water cannons, slides, and tunnels. With over 15 total rides and attractions, you will be guaranteed a good time. Also great water park for groups and birthday parties, packages start around $200 in 2009 for up to 8 kids and 4 adults.
  • Shipwreck Island Water Park- 850-234-3333 - 12201 Middle Beach Rd. - Panama City, FL 32407

    Located in the heart of Panama City Florida, Shipwreck Island is one of the premier water parks in North Florida. Opened over 20 years ago, the park is 20 acres of attractions, slides, food and fun. Their wave pool holds over 500,000 gallons and generates waves up to 3 ft. high every fifteen minutes or so. Try the pirates plunge racing slide and see which one of your friends can make it down the fastest. Or you can chill out in a tube meandering through the 2,000 ft. long lazy river. The park is filled with food and concession stands, serving everything from pizza to hot dogs and are scheduled to ope a Chic-Fil-A sometime this year. The park is open from April to September, and rates top out at $32 with complimentary free parking.
