Lake George
Lake George, Minnesota is located about 6 miles from Lake Itasca State Park. I want to bring attention to this nice quaint small town to all the shoppers on the road! Ok Guys, there's something here for you too! LOL -The whole town is one big craft shoppers delight! Check out a few nice photos and visit the local sponsors pages, your in for a real treat here!

 
Lake George is a 788 acre spring fed lake which provides excellent fishing for Crappies, Northern, Walleye, Bass and Panfish. You can also enjoy swimming, canoeing, and water skiing. Hikers and campers will find the birch and pine forests a nature lover's paradise, filled with all the varieties of birds, animals and wild flowers.
Lake George is FAMOUS for its Blueberries! In July, people come from near and far to pick the wild blueberries and enjoy our Blueberry Festival activities.

Lake Itasca Moccasin will make you a custom fit pair of moccasins in many styles! They get orders from around the entire country and are widely known supplying wholesalers and retailers.




The School Craft Gallery has many unique gifts located about the grounds in different uniquely decorated and themed buildings.  The Trading Post was my favorite, my wife liked the Teddy Bear House ... very cute!

 yet another craft store called Bonnies,

and the Wigwam craft store. How many wrestling fans are out there? Remember the days of Vern Gagne and his son Greg with the High Flyers? How about Mad Dog Vashon? Nick Bockwinkle? Mean Gene?
OK ............ how about the CLAW! The Baron Von Raschke! Of course you do! Well, he was the owner of the Wigwam!
It is now under new ownership.

Lake George - what a neat place to stop and stretch the legs, check out some great craft shops and meet a celebrity. But if you blink while driving past this small town Minnesota Gem, you'll miss it all, ... and that would be a shame :(
