COMO PARK Conservatory St. Paul, Minnesota
Como Park Conservatory, which replaced an older park greenhouse
- was opened to the public November 7, 1915. From that day forward, residents
of the Twin Cities of saint Paul and Minneapolis and visitors from around
the world have enjoyed the flower shows and gardens. In 1974 Como Park
Conservatory was placed on the National Register of Historic Places. During the 198's and 90's it has been largely restored with new
glass, structural components, and computerized climate controls.

Right across from the Conservatoty
The Sunken Garden The most beautiful flower room in America, Como Conservatory's sunken
garden accommodates 80 to 90 people standing, (they provide up to 10 chairs
at no extra cost) The temperature of the room can become warm during summer
months due to its southern exposure. During the fall & winter months
it ranges from 40 to 60 degrees in order to maintain flower blooms. For
rentals in cold weather the heat is turned up to 65 degrees, but the room
may still seem cold. Equipment and handicap access to the lower level is
provided by two elevators on either side of the room.
Japanese Garden A secluded, serene outdoor garden available for private rentals
from Mother's day to September 30th. The beautiful waterfall and reflecting
pond provide a one of a kind setting, for 35 to 40 people standing, (no
chairs provided) Rental times are in one hour increments. There is no electrity
available.
The North Garden
An intimate indoor garden filled with tropical fruit, spice, and
nut trees, a pool with a foutain and indirect lighting. It accommodates
35 to 40 people
